How We Work
Every project starts with the same question: What are you actually trying to achieve?
Not what pages you need, not what your competitor's site looks like – what does success mean for this project, and how do we get there?
👋 We're a small, senior team. No account managers, no handoffs between departments. The people you talk to 👨🏼💻 are the people who design and build your project. That's deliberate – it means fewer misunderstandings, faster 🚀 decisions, and work that stays true to the strategy behind it 🎯.
We work with two kinds of clients: businesses & startups who need more than a brochure site, and agencies who need a build partner they can trust with complex projects. In each case, the approach is the same.
Clarity
Before anything gets designed or built, we need to understand the problem properly. What's the project trying to do? Who's it for? What does the business need it to achieve?
This isn't a long, drawn-out discovery phase. It's focused, practical work that gives the project a clear direction – so every decision that follows has a reason behind it.
We'll challenge assumptions early, including our own. The goal is to arrive at a brief that everyone believes in, not just one that ticks boxes.
Design
Design is where strategy becomes tangible. We work through information architecture, user flows, and interface design – making decisions about how people will actually move through and use what we're building.
Every element earns its place. We don't add features because they're fashionable or fill space because it's empty. The goal is an interface that works hard, communicates clearly, and feels right to use.
We present design in context – in the browser, at real sizes, with real content where possible. It's the fastest way to make good decisions together.
Build
What we build is engineered to perform on day one and hold up later. We work primarily with React, Next.js, Sanity CMS, and TypeScript – tools chosen for their flexibility, performance, and longevity. For projects where Webflow is the right fit, we build with custom React components and DevLink for a level of sophistication most Webflow builds don't reach.
Performance isn't an afterthought. Fast load times, clean code, and solid infrastructure are baseline expectations, not premium add-ons.
We also build for the people who'll manage the site after launch. Content management should be intuitive, not something that requires a manual or a developer on call.
Technology
We choose tools based on what the project needs, and prioritise the long-term success and maintainability of your project. In addition to the tools listed below, we also have deep experience building and maintaining sites with a variety of other modern web technologies.
